Full brown calf with red and black tooled labels in compartments to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Black tooled label mostly lacking, with a small corner fragment remaining. Biding lightly rubbed and scuffed. Small loss to raised bands. Both boards attached with cracked joints and hinges starting, thus somewhat fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Marbled page edges show well, with some minor loss and top edge darkened as often. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Text block extremely clean with light toning and occasional foxing.
