Condition:
Contemporary full red grained calf, all bindings secure with all boards attached. Bindings a little rubbed, some discolouration, spines uniformly sunned, wear to extremities with a little loss to the head of the backstrip of Vol I. All edges gilt. Handsome marbled endpapers without attached bookplates. Small neat inscription to head of ffep recto in Vol I (only), all volumes with a partially erased blue crayon(?) inscription to each front blank. Text blocks toned, some foxing, but legible throughout. An attractive set.
