An extremely rare book. This is the only copy we can trace to have ever appeared for sale and is thus accurately described as the only opportunity at the acquisition of this scarce anti-Catholic work which discusses the growing anti-Catholic sentiments in England following the English Civil War.

Letter dated 10-19-72 written on "Pittsburg Theological Seminary" stamped paper to a Robert from a Markus. The letter was sent along with the book as a gift.
Ink inscription reading "Robert Paul from Markus Barth 10-19-72."

Half brown calf over paper backed boards with a large black tooled label to the spine. Binding rubbed and scuffed. Small fragment of the tooled label lacking. Front board mostly detached, thus extremely fragile. Rear board attached with rubbing along the jointed cracked hinge, thus fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Shelf lean, does not stand upright. No attached bookplate. Ink inscription to front blank. Text block fairly clean with light toning, minor foxing, and occasional pencil lines in the margin space.
