Full vellum bindings with ink titles to spines, rubbed and scuffed with some marks. All boards securely attached with minor wear to joints and hinges. Small loss of vellum on the rear board of volume 1/2 and on the rear board of volume 5/6. Spotted page edges dulled with some ink stains. Shelf and edge wear with the corners lightly turned-in. Pink paper remnant to the bottom of the front pastedown in volume 1/2 as well as pencil inscriptions. Text blocks fairly clean with foxing, and very occasional ink stains, marks and damp staining. Occasional very minor edge tears to some leaves. Ink inscription to the front pastedown in volume 3/4. Stamps to title pages. Some leaves are more prominently foxed and toned than others, particularly prominent in volumes three, four, and six. Pencil inscription to the head of the front pastedown in volume 5/6. Very small holes to the white space to nearly all leaves in all volumes, all similarly positioned.

Small edge tear with loss to the top corner of I3 in volume one (pp.101/102). Pp.168 in volume one misnumbered as 162. Pp. 169 in volume one misnumbered as 179. Top corner of P5 (pp.177/178) in volume one is not trimmed accurately, so there is a part sticking out of the page block, and since has been folded down. Ink stain from pp.195 to pp.202 in volume one, with the most significant damage to pp.201/202 with some loss and the paper being fragile where the ink stain is, affects legibility. The pagination resets after pp.204 in volume one, continuing with the numbering starting with pp.207, with no leaves lacking between pp.204 and pp.207 as the catchword matches. Edge tear to the top corner of V5 in volume one with loss, not affecting any text. Very small wormholing to the bottom of leaves pp.241-254 in volume one, not affecting any text. Pp.259 in volume one misnumbered as 159. Small damp staining to pp.289-292 in volume one. 

Edge tear to pp.5 in volume two. Small hole to the white space of pp.35/36 in volume two. Small edge tear to the bottom corner of pp.129/150 in volume two, not affecting any text.
