Without internal reference, but from the private collection of Terry Jones, actor and comedian of Monty Python fame, quite possibly read as part of research for the production of Monty Python.

Full brown calf with red and brown tooled labels in compartments to the spine between raised bands. Finely rebacked. Brown tooled label worn with some loss. Binding rubbed and scuffed, shelf and edge wear. Page edges toned. Bookplate attached to front pastedown as described under provenance, above. Edge toning to endpapers as commensurate with the full calf binding. Text block very clean with light toning and very occasional foxing but overall a very superior example of this scarce book. Repair to the bottom outer corner of the title page. Two leaves of the table trimmed, trimming away all marginalia, but these leaves remain present. Else collates as complete.
