An incomplete set, each volume being the first edition of its respective year. Bound in the original cloth bindings and beautifully illustrated throughout. Do bear in mind that these books are very heavy for their size. The original complete set began in 1890 and proceeded to 1913 and thus constituted 24 volumes, here we have six of those 24.

Spines sunned with minor wear. Wear to spine extremities. All boards attached with minor wear to joints and hinges, some starting. Boards with very minor scuffing, rubbing, and marks. Shelf and edge wear. Prominent shelf lean. Foxing to page edges. Pencil marks/inscriptions to front pastedown and to the top of the title page in all volumes. Text blocks very clean with very light toning to edges and very sporadic very minor foxing. Endpapers and frontispieces are prominently foxed in some of the volumes. Pp.197 to rear endpapers detached in the 1896 volume. Some cracks to the text blocks where leaves are attached but feel slightly loose, or are partially detached, few being very loosely held on. Sporadic toning marks from old bookmarks.
