-------------------
A lovely rare book with three works bound into one focussing on ancient Roman antiquities and history as well as theological exegesis and the link between the Old Testament peoples and 'Heathen people [and] customs' seemingly in its original boards and thus very scarce indeed, perhaps standing as a unique surviving copy as such.

Contemporary original boards, without a spine (probably as it originally was), with gatherings all largely detached but ordered properly and sitting well in the 'binding'. Boards rubbed etc with minor losses and discolouration as typical. Binding strings broken to spine in several places, including the joints to the boards. The front board is held by two joints (only) with three (only) to the rear, thus the boards are attached but fragile. Final index incomplete (lacks last 2? leaves) else collates as complete, first blank detached but present. Mildly toned throughout else generally clean throughout.
