The famous and monumental Harrison edition of Samuel Johnson's Dictionary, a scarce edition, this being only the second time we have handled a copy, and this is a beautifully clean example. This, alongside the first edition, is one of the most desirable editions of Dr Johnson's Dictionary.

Condition:
Contemporary full calf, rubbed, leather dry, joints cracked, but with both boards attached. Lacks tooled label. Hinges reinforced. No attached bookplates. Ink ownership inscription to head of title page. Generally exceptionally clean throughout the text block, sporadic mild foxing, heavier to last few leaves. Uncollated, but appears to be complete including the Supplement bound at the rear.
