Fien full morocco with gorgeous gilt tooling to spine compartments between raised bands and with gilt tooled borders to boards. Titles and volume numbers in gilt in two compartments between raised bands to both volumes. Spines non-uniformly and very lightly sunned, nevertheless, the bindings show very attractively. Bindings very lightly rubbed. All boards attached with rubbing along joints and minor wear to hinges, some joints and hinges starting. Front joint and hinge of volume one cracked, thus fragile. Very minor occasionally shelf and edge wear. Ownership stamp to front pastedown in both volumes, somewhat smudged. Yellow endpapers prominently discoloured. Text blocks extremely clean with very occasional foxing.
