Attractive full brown calf binding with a brown tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Both boards attached with rubbing along joints and hinges cracked. Binding rubbed and scuffed. Shelf and edge wear. Page edges toned, top edge darkened. Edge corner toning to endpapers as commensurate with the binding. Endpapers toned. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. A fantastic early 18th century reading copy.
