Provenance:
Gilt crest on boards depicting two griffins holding an oval, with a crown above and a scallop below. The oval is divided into four sections with two different designs; the designs depict three ducks and two cows. The whole design is in another oval surmounted by a crown. We were unable to identify the armorial owner of the bindings but due to the crown, this type is frequently referred to as 'Royal Bindings', and these are particularly fine examples of such bindings and highly attractive on the shelf.
Size: 105 x 170 mm (approx., each)
