Provenance: Bookplate of the Lindsay Family. The Bookplate depicts two lions holding a coat of arms with "Bibliotheca Lindesiana" written underneath; Containing the motto "Endure Fort". Inscribed underneath "171 / E".

Condition: 

Spine rubbed. Tooled label present with minor scuffing and small fragment of tooled label lacking. Both boards attached with wear to joints and hinges, some starting. Boards rubbed and lightly scuffed. Some of the leather on boards peeling lightly. Shelf and edge wear. Dulling to page edges. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Pencil inscriptions and spots of discolouration (Caused by tape?) on pastedown and endpapers facing pastedown. Title page foxed. Text block fairy clean with light toning and minor foxing.
