Full brown calf binding with a red tooled label to the spine. Binding rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with joints and hinges cracked. Shelf and edge wear. Page edges dulled. Spine slightly cocked. Overall, externally very good; an attractive copy. Bookplate attached to front blank with ink ownership inscription above. Two ephemera glued to two front blanks facing each other, with them slightly peeling at edges. Ink inscription and drawing of arms to the verso of the title page. Text block fairly clean with light toning, some foxing, and ink marginalia including drawings of coats of arms. Slight edge tears.
