First Westall edition of the One Thousand and One Nights, commonly called The Arabian Nights, originally compiled by various authors during the Islamic Golden Age.
Very attractive on the shelf, full calf leather with uniform tooled morocco labels. Some rubbing and wear to the spines and across the joints with all boards securely attached. Some scuffs and rubbing to boards but generally very good. Light shelf wear. Top page edges dulled as typical. Bookplate to front pastedown of each volume of Ambrose Lethbridge. Some wormholing through the last few leaves of the first volume and the first few leaves of the fourth volume, affecting the title page of the fourth volume. Text blocks mildly toned but generally internally excellent. Collated as complete through each volume.
