A beautiful set of Dugdale's British Traveller in lovely recent fine bindings by Richard Lane bookbinding. This set has abundant maps and engraved plates throughout of the various locations/counties throughout England & Wales.

Relatively recent fine half calf bindings, each volume retaining its tooled title labels, volumes numbered in gilt, Roman. Bindings a little rubbed but secure, with all boards securely attached. No shelf lean. Very attractive on the shelf. Quarto sized. Some staining to page edges not affecting text. Map in volume one torn but present. The text block is generally clean, though many plates are oxidised with some commensurate foxing, as typical, but remain attractive. The number of plates and maps is uncollated, though there are a substantial quantity through the set.
