Full brown calf binding, rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with joints and hinges cracked, thus fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Lacking tooled label if one was originally present. Page edges dulled. Faded ink inscription to the head of the first blank, with some tears. Smudged ink inscription to head of pp.2 and transferred over to pp.3. Text block clean with light toning, occasional foxing, and some marginalia, primarily underlining. Some small tears to edges, with no loss of sense. Gathering of pp.227-230 detached but present. Some very minor worming throughout to gutters.
