First vs. Second State Advertisement:

Full brown calf binding with red and brown tooled labels in compartments to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Binding rubbed and scuffed, some marks to extremities. Both boards attached with front joint and both hinges cracked, and rear joint starting, thus fragile, front board being partially detached. Shelf and edge wear. All page edges gilt with minor scratches. Binder's stamp to the reverso of the ffep. Edge toning to endpapers commensurate to the full leather binding. Text block extremely clean with edge toning and occasional foxing.
