Undated to the title page, WorldCat suggests 1867 but another copy suggests 1871 as a date.

Contemporary half red morocco with gilt tooling in compartments to the spine separated by raised bands. Retains the original tooled morocco label. Spine uniformly sunned/dulled but shows very attractively on the shelf, rubbed with a small amount of loss. Joints similarly rubbed but secure with both boards securely attached, binding secure and without shelf lean. Boards very good with minor discolouration. Shelf and edge wear. All edges gilt, very good. Without any attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Some foxing to endpapers, else, generally very clean throughout with all text fully legible.
