-------------------

This is a legal text and compilation of Roman civil law, commonly refereed to as digesta or pandects. The book draws its context from the Florentine Pandects, and includes extensive commentaries by Accursius, a famous medieval glossator of Roman law.

During its publication, the Renaissance brought about a renewed interest in the revival and story of classical Roman and Greek Texts. Roman law was highly regarded for its contributions to legal thought and served as the foundation for many European legal systems.
