A fantastic 18th century copy of Euclid's elements in a contemporary binding, with the type excellently arranged around the very abundant in-text geometrical diagrams, complete with the three foldout trigonometric diagrams bound in at the rear.

Contemporary full calf binding, retaining its tooled title label. Binding rubbed with minor losses, joints cracked, but with both boards securely attached, the binding secure, and without shelf lean. Top edge dulled as typical, else page edges very good. Bookplate of Arthur Charles Pretyman to front pastedown covering an earlier inscription, with another ink ownership inscription to the head of the title page. Text block mildly toned throughout. Wormholing to rear endpapers not affecting text or foldouts. Edges of foldout plates toned as often. Generally clean throughout the text block, legible. A superior copy in completely original condition of this scarce printing of Euclid's Elements.
