Near contemporary full calf bindings with intricate gilt to both spines and tooled red and green morocco labels between raised bands. Spines lightly rubbed but generally very good, bright, and attractive. Light shelf wear. Minor rubbing to joints with all boards securely attached. No shelf lean. Light scuffs to boards with a small section of loss to the front board of the first volume. Without any attached bookplates. Ink ownership inscription to head of ffep verso of both volumes. Collated as complete through both volumes including both half titles. Some light foxing to endpapers else very clean through the text blocks.
