Contemporary green cloth, slightly rubbed at extremities, but very bright, overall externally near fine. Very attractive on the shelf. No attached bookplates but with ownership inscription to the front free endpaper dated 1876. All plates secured in gutter as published. Text block mildly toned throughout with some light foxing, mostly to first and last few leaves. Majority of the text block is clean. An excellent copy. Plate 1 extends slightly at the page fore-edge but does not appear to be misbound. All edges gilt. Binding slightly warped.
