Full brown calf binding with tooled labels in compartments to the spines between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Bindings rubbed and scuffed with some marks. Small fragments of the backstrip lacking from the spines. All boards attached with cracked joints and hinges, thus very fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Marbled page edges dulled. White piece of paper attached over an inscription on the front blank in volume one. Damp staining to the bottom outer corners of the leaves throughout volume two. Text blocks very clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing. Blanks partially attached at the gutters.
