A fantastic set relating to Norfolk and its towns and villages, beautifully illustrated throughout with 100 full page engravings as well as engraved title pages. Also with a foldout map of Norfolk and another showing the city of Norwich.

Uniformly bound full blue/purple calf bindings retaining tooled red morocco labels. Spines rubbed with a little loss, backstrip slightly detached at the head of the second volume. Rubbed along the joints but uncracked with all boards securely attached. Bindings secure without shelf lean. Boards a little rubbed, lined in gilt and blindstamped decoration to the edges. Shelf and edge wear. A little foxed throughout, but generally clean, fully legible, and collates as complete through both volumes. An excellent set which would benefit from the application of a leather conditioner to the spines.
