Full red calf with decorative gilt borders to both boards, gilt title and publisher with date in compartments to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Binding lightly rubbed with minor marks. Both boards attached with cracked joints and hinges, thus fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Blue page edges dulled, top page edge darkened as often. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Text block very clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing. Ink inscriptions to blank space of the title page. Ink ownership inscription to the front of *2. Edge toning to endpapers as commensurate with the full leather binding.
