A beautiful set of this famous edition of Quintus Curtius Rufus' History of Alexander the Great in very attractive contemporary British aristocratic fine bindings.

Condition:
Full brown calf binding with decorative gilt to boards and spine, and black tooled labels in compartments to the spine between raised bands. Binding rubbed and scuffed. Small fragments of leather lacking. Spine of volume one lightly detached at the top. Tooled label of volume one peeling at the edges. Shelf and edge wear. Gilt page edges dulled with some marks. Bookplate attached to front pastedown in both volumes. Pencil inscriptions to front blanks. Text blocks clean with light toning and some foxing. Uncollated.
