A beautiful copy of Robertson's famous History of America, including some original foldout maps of America from the early 1800s! Beautifully finely bound contemporaneously in full brown calf finely decorated in gilt with blindstamped panelled designs.

Condition: 

Uniform contemporary full calf, finely decorated in gilt and stamped in blind. Bindings rubbed, but not enough to downgrade the set from being externally very good. Joints rubbed, some starting / a little cracked, but with all boards securely attached. Bookplate attached to front pastedown in each volume. Endpapers foxed but generally very clean throughout the text blocks, mildly toned as typical, foldouts very good or better, as pictured. A lovely set.
