-------------------

Size: 235 x 293 mm (approx.)

Condition:

[xv, 8pp, 252pp, (1), 10pp, 15 plates, 32pp]

Bound in quarter calf, rebacked with a modern spine preserving earlier probably original boards. Tooled red morocco label affixed to spine, a little worn with minor loss on the left side to the text. Binding a little rubbed at extremities and along the edge of the original board else very good. Minor shelf wear with a little loss at corners. Marbled paper backed boards very good or better, slightly scuffed. Replaced endpapers with a sticker to the front pastedown reading 'Percy S Paley, Castle Hacket, Nov 1965'. Appendix to the rear incomplete else appears to be complete. We did not find an authoritative source to collate against, but the collation is provided above for reference nonetheless. A little foxing to page edges and the plates else generally very clean throughout, mildly toned as typical. Cracked a little in the gutter between pp.22 and 23 of the Appendix at the rear, split, attached by the recent sewing.

A nice copy.
