Condition:
Spines near fine to fine and show brilliantly on the shelf. Very attractive half red morocco with gilt details. Joints all near fine/fine with all boards securely attached. Light shelf & edge wear. Very light rubbing to boards, generally being very good without loss to the detailed gilt design to the front boards. A bit more wear to the rear board of the third volume but remains very good. All edges gilt with a bit of dulling and the occasional scratch but these are also very good. Hinges reinforced with binding tape, perhaps as published? These are the original bindings. Without any bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Some light foxing throughout, but with the vast majority clean of foxing with most foxed leaves being the illustrated plates and the pages to their verso. Text blocks mildly toned.
