Full brown calf binding with a black tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Binding lightly rubbed and scuffed with some discolouration. Both boards attached with front joint and both hinges starting, and rear joint cracked, thus somewhat fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Red page edges dulled with an ink stain to the bottom. No attached bookplates. Ink inscription to the reverso of the tile page. Pencil inscription to rear blank. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional foxing.
