A lovely early edition of one of Henry Fielding's greatest works, Tom Jones - here beautifully bound with uniform rebacked spines presenting very well indeed on the shelf.
Spines have been nicely rebacked with red tooled labels. All boards securely attached with reinforced joints and hinges. Boards with minor rubbing, scuffing, superficial scratches and marks. Corners have been repaired. Shelf and edge wear. Dulling to page edges. Edge toning as commensurate to the binding to endpapers with minor foxing. Text blocks very clean with light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. Very small marks to pp. viii and pp.1. Very small wormhole in volume three to the bottom of leaves numbered pp.285 to rear pastedown. Very small number of very small tears to some leaf edges.
