Original pink cloth binding very bright and much better than typically found, slightly sunned in the gutter and with some slight discolouration at the head of the rear board. Joints secure with both boards securely attached, the binding firm and without shelf lean. Top page edge gilt very slightly dulled but generally excellent. Offsetting to front free endpaper verso illustration page from the inner flap of the dust jacket as typical. The full text block is collated as complete and in excellent condition, very clean without any foxing, writing, colouring, etc. Slight stain to inner gutter of half title which is probably from the aforementioned offsetting to the ffep verso. Dust jacket toned with the spine panel most affected as typical. Some chips to the extremities of the dust jacket without any price clipping. Dust jacket is in its first state form. Tear to front panel at head which has been repaired. Front joint of the dust jacket appears to have been expertly repaired at some time and so is structurally intact though appears to have been at one time cracked. Reverse side of dust jacket lightly toned but generally excellent.
