STUNNING Deluxe Limited Edition, #276 of 425 copies. The most excellent facsimile of the Kelmscott Chaucer, being significantly better than the Folio Society edition or any other to date. The Easton Press edition replicates the original small print run of just 425 copies. A very rare book outside of the US, especially due to its very large size and the corresponding difficulty and expense of export from the US.
Beautifully bound in full white leather with intricate gilt and blindstamping, complete with its original green slipcase and Certificate of Authenticity. The paper is also of note, being of very impressive quality, with all aspects of this book superior than any of Easton Press' usual publications, which themselves are of a good standard.
-------------------
Easton Press are a modern fine publisher who are still active and printing luxurious leatherbound editions of important titles. Many of the most desirable titles are long out of print, and so the titles outside of their "100 Greatest Books of All Time" series and their long sold out Deluxe Limited Editions remain highly (and increasingly) desirable.
This Deluxe Limited Edition facsimile of the Kelmscott Chaucer is one of their best ever productions. This and their facsimile of the 1611 King James Bible are, arguably, their greatest Deluxe Limited Editions. This has been sold out for well over a decade, and to our knowledge, no copies have appeared for sale in the UK to date until now.
