A very rare pre-publication unauthorised pirated copy of Junius' anonymous political letters. The Letters were first published in 1772 in two volumes, but here is one of the unauthorised editions printed prior.

Condition:

Rebacked, full brown calf with a gilt title to the spine. Gilt dulled. Binding rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with reinforced hinges with marbled paper. Shelf and edger wear. Shelf lean. Page edges toned, top edge darkened. No attached bookplate. Ink ownership inscription to the title page. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Pencil inscriptions to rear blank. WorldCat collation calls for 2pp. at the rear which are not present in this copy.
