Full brown calf with two tooled labels in compartments between raised bands, bands lined with gilt. Rebacked with the original boards and most likely original tooled labels. Both boards securely attached. Bindings rubbed and scuffed with some sunning to the spine. Attached bookplate to front pastedown. Ownership stamp to front pastedown and front blank. Text block very clean with light toning, occasional foxing, and damp staining to the bottom corner of leaves throughout. Edge toning to endpapers as commensurate with the full leather binding. Lacking frontispiece portrait. Ink and pencil inscription to front blank.
