Full brown calf with gilt title to spine in a compartments between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt designs, and a slim tooled border to both boards. Binding rubbed and scuffed, with some loss to the bakcstrip. Both boards attached with cracked hinges, rear joint cracked and front joint starting, thus fragile. The leather peeling slightly at the extremities of the joints. Shelf and edge wear. Page edges toned. Ink inscription to the head of the front blank. Text block very clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing.
