The Life of Our Lord Written Expressly For His Children by Charles Dickens. Published by Associated Newspapers Ltd in London in 1934.

FIRST EDITION OF DICKENS' FINAL PUBLISHED WORK IN UNCOMMONLY EXCELLENT CONDITION IN ITS ORIGINAL DUST JACKET!

-------------------

This lovely edition of The Life of Our Lord was written by Charles Dickens for his children, in the hopes to educate them on religion and faith. The book is about the life of Jesus of Nazareth, adapted from the Gospel of St. Luke. It includes a foreword by Lady Dickens - “This book, the last work of Charles Dickens to be published, has an individual interest and purpose that separate it completely from everything else Dickens wrote. Quite apart from its Divine Subject, the manuscript is particularly personal to the novelist, and is not so much a revelation of his mind as a tribute to his heart and humanity, and also, of course, his deep devotion to Our Lord.”
