Contemporary full grained calf, boards lined in gilt, gilt turn-ins, repeating gilt in spine compartments, titles in gilt. Bindings secure, all boards securely attached, very minor rubbing, but overall externally fine. Small bookseller ticket to head of front pastedown in volume one. Pencil inscriptions to blanks in first volume. Some foxing to endpaper blanks else clean throughout the text blocks. All edges gilt, some scratches and discolouration, small faint stain to bottom edge of second volume. Overall a fine set.
