Spine lightly rubbed and cracked. Tooled label present. Both boards attached with front joint and hinge cracked, and rear joint and hinge starting. Boards with some sunning/discolouration, very minor rubbing. Shelf and edge wear. Corners lightly turned in. Shelf lean. Dulling to page edges. Edge toning as commensurate with the binding to endpapers, half title, and lightly to title page. Text block fairly clean with light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. Very small tear to rear endpaper. 

"Observations on the Life, Character, and Doctrine of Socrates in a Letter to a Friend" bound after main text block and before the Index, hence, page number disruption.
