In the original binding with the titular paper covers to both boards and leather spine. Binding lightly rubbed with some marks. Shelf and edge wear. Both boards attached with front hinge repaired and rear hinge starting. Edge repair to front blank and reattached. Ink inscriptions to the front blank, the reverso of the frontispiece, and to the rear pastedown. Very light pencil inscription to the rear pastedown. Text block fairly clean with light toning and some foxing. Frontispiece partially detached at the bottom. A significantly better than typically encountered copy of this edition of The New England Primer in original condition.
