Condition:

Original publisher's cloth bindings, uniformly bound, decorated in gilt. Spines a little dulled as typical, but much better than the typically encountered example. Very attractive on the shelf with the gilt titles remaining bright and legible. All boards are securely attached, the bindings are secure, minimally cocked. Minor discolouration to cloth. Leaf edges uncut as issued. Bookplate to ffep recto of Pinchinthorpe House, Guisborough. Generally very bright and clean throughout the text blocks of each volume, some scattered foxing and occasional minor stains as usual, largely just to title pages. Preliminary blank heavily toned as often. Original ex-libris plate to front pastedowns of each volume (the set was issued with these) are left blank.

A beautiful set of this famous edition of Jane Austen's works, scarcely encountered in such bright clean condition as here, in the original cloth.
