Size: 109 x 177 mm (approx.)

Condition:

[xii, 284pp., 7ff. (index)]

Recent quarter red morocco over marbled paper backed boards. Fine black tooled morocco label to the spine with some stamp decoration in gilt. Binding in fine condition. Very attractive on the shelf. Both boards securely attached. The binding firm and secure without shelf lean. Replaced endpapers and pastedowns, preserving one original blank at the rear. Title page a little ragged at the fore-edge. Some heavy damp staining to pp.49-60, none of which renders any text as illegible, else, very clean throughout the text block,  thought mildly toned throughout. A few plates are trimmed at the fore-edge, presumably for the binding, thus slightly smaller than the text block. Page edges discoloured.

A very nice copy.
