Full brown calf with decorative gilt to compartments to the spines between raised bands, lacking tooled label. Binding lightly rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with wear to joints and hinges. Shelf and edge wear. Red spotted page edges dulled. Ink inscription shelf mark to front pastedown. Tear with loss to the front blank. Ink gift inscription to the first title page. Very small tears with loss to the head of the first title page. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional foxing.
