19th century full calf, board edges decorated in blind, tooled red morocco label to spine. Binding rubbed, shelf wear. Both boards securely attached, hinges holding, joints starting. The binding is secure and stands without shelf lean. There are three attractive bifold plates as well as one single page plate. Some marginalia, mild toning, sporadic spotting with a few stains, not obscuring the text, else generally fresh and well preserved throughout the text block. 3D4 is the advertisement leaf. Effaced small bookplate in the upper left corner of the front pastedown, unidentifiable.
