-------------------
A beautifully illustrated work with each illustrated plate accompanied by the corresponding Scripture verses to the verso page. Undated title page to the first volume, but WorldCat suggests the date of 1834, with the second volume dated 1835.
-------------------
Size: 222 x 285 mm (approx., each)
Condition:
Contemporary half calf over cloth backed boards, rubbed, slight discolouration, but generally shows well on the shelf. Shelf and edge wear. All page edges marbled, but faded. Without any attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Illustrations offset to verso pages with some very light foxing to a few leaves throughout, but generally very clean. A fantastic set with each illustration accompanied with the corresponding verses from Scripture. Unpaginated, thus uncollated, but appears to be complete. Both volumes with a shelf lean, but probably from being quite tall and thin volumes.
