Provenance:

Rubbed out bookplate with the only text remaining reading "STC ITUR AD ASTRA" and an ink inscription written over it dated 1871.

Condition:

Full brown calf, rubbed and scuffed, with small losses of leather to the top and bottom of the spine. Both boards attached with cracked joints and hinges, thus very fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Page edges toned. Bookplate attached to front pastedown with an ink inscription.  Ink inscriptions, some dulled to the title page. Text block very clean with light toning and occasional foxing.
