Full brown calf  with red and green tooled labels to the spine in compartments between gilt bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Both boards attached with front joint cracked, rear joint starting, and hinges starting, thus somewhat fragile. Binding rubbed and scuffed, the front board very slightly warped. Shelf and edge wear. Page edges toned with a few marks. Very small fragment of the backstrip lacking from the head of the spine. Two snippets have been attached to the front pastedown. Ink ownership inscription of Rodolph De Salis dated 1932 to ffep. Text block very clean with very light toning and occasional pencil marginalia, extremely sporadic very minor foxing. Small tear to the rear blank, with the torn piece attached to the rear pastedown partially.
