Full brown calf binding, lightly rubbed and scuffed. Both boards attached with front joint and both hinges cracked, rear joint starting, thus somewhat fragile. Shelf and edge wear, more so to corners. Page edges dulled and toned. Lacking headcap and tailcap. Ink ownership inscriptions to front pastedown. No endpapers present. Edge tears to the frontispiece with some small loss to the white space. Title page with edge tears and a tear going across "London", and with small loss. Text block fairly clean with light toning and occasional foxing and marks. Edge tears with loss to the edges of pp.99/100 with no loss of sense. Occasional edge tears to leaves. Small tear to the last leaf of the text block to the centre of the leaf.
