A beautiful and highly desirable edition with text in Latin, French, English, German, and Dutch, essentially forming a Polyglot edition, here with a large quantity of finely engraved illustrations.

Full spotted brown calf with a red tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt. Binding lightly rubbed and scuffed with some repairs, rebacked, boards reattached. Shelf and edge wear. Page edges dulled. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Edge toning to endpapers. Text block fairly clean with light toning, occasional foxing and marks, some ink stains, and many repairs. Some tears. Title leaf laid down. A nice copy of this beautiful edition.
