Spines rubbed and lightly cracked. Tooled labels present with rubbing and some fragments lacking. Wear to heads and bottoms of spines with volumes three and six lacking parts of the headcaps. All boards attached with joints rubbed and starting, and hinges starting. Boards with minor scuffing and rubbing. Shelf and edge wear. Dulling to page edges. Bookplate attached to front pastedown in all volumes. Pen inscription on front pastedown mostly covered with the bookplate in all volumes. Edge toning as commensurate with the binding on endpapers. Pen inscription crossed out on preliminary in all volumes. Endpapers with minor foxing. Text block lightly toned on edges with very sporadic very minor foxing. Pen ownership inscription upside down on the rear endpaper in volume four. Small mark on the title page of volume six. Very small wormhole to the bottom of the leaves throughout text block in volume nine.
